The company

Perfiltra set up its business in 1967 as a subsidiary of Johns Manville Corporation, under the name of Silflo Argentina, to be later converted into current Perfiltra S.A.
Vertically integrated, it extracts its main raw material, perlite, from beds owned by the company in the Province of Salta. These beds, which are located in the Argentine Andes, display unique characteristics due to the mineral quality and the reserves' size.
Products are fabricated in its industrial plants located in San Antonio de los Cobres, Province of Salta, Banda del Río Salí, Provinces of Tucumán and Rosario, and Province of Santa Fe. These plants are equipped with the highest technology and comply with ASTM international standards. Perfiltra S.A. has exported turnkey plants, industrial equipment, and know-how to different countries (Chile, Brazil, Mexico, India, and Bulgaria) by making technology transfer agreements.
The expertise and the technological level achieved enable it to share experiences at the Perlite Institute and at the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM), both of which it is a member.
