Perlitemp ®

Located in the petrochemical center of southern Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the PAC Capacity Expansion for COPESUL’s Triunfo Petrochemical Complex was one of Perlitemp®’s most important projects. The expansion will increase the total productive capacity of the plant from 1,9 to 3,0 million tons per year. The criteria set by COPESUL — i.e. efficient use of energy and environmental protection — required intelligent selection of material inputs. Perlitemp®’s thermal insulation was the key element used to meet these criteria. Project engineering was carried out by Stone & Webster and actual plant assembly by the company Tenenge. In Brazil, Perlitemp® is installed and commercially represented by the company Isolenge, who was responsible for both aspects of the project’s execution. The use of Perlitemp® insulation in this project represents an important step in Perfiltra’s opening of the great Brazilian market for the perlite-based thermal insulation product Perlitemp®.
